Obituary

Alice P. Hoeppner, 66 of Huntley, passed away peacefully Thursday afternoon, February 21, 2013 at Sherman Hospital in Elgin.

Alice was born October 9, 1946 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Mary Perrine Post. She was raised in Chicago and graduated from Amundsen High School. She worked briefly for Kemper Insurance. On September 16, 1967 she was united in marriage to Donald E. Hoeppner. The couple made their home in Schaumburg, where she raised her family. She was employed as an office manager for Pediatric Care Associates for over 20 years, retiring in 2005 and moving to Huntley. She was a very loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She especially enjoyed her grandchildren’s activities as well as cooking, entertaining &crocheting, along with the time she and her husband spent at Marco Island. She was a very thoughtful and generous person who made many of the gifts she loved to give.

She is survived by her husband, Don of Huntley, her son, Steve (Jane) Hoeppner of Roscoe, her daughter, Julie (John) Campos of Algonquin and her grandchildren, Kyle, Brett, Isabella, Courtney, Christopher, Jack & Audrey. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary and step-father, Art.

A memorial gathering will be held from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, February 26th at the DeFiore-Jorgensen Funeral & Cremation Service, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley and from 9:00 until the time of the mass at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Ann & Robert H. Lurie Childrens Hospital of Chicago or the ASPCA.
