Hannah Terese Evitts, 15 of Huntley, died peacefully, May 18, 2021 with her Mom and Dad by her side.
A Memorial Service will be held 3pm on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Epilepsy Foundation https://www.epilepsy.com/

Hannah was born April 5, 2006 in Elk Grove Village, the daughter of Michael and Jennifer Evitts. Hannah was a student. She was approaching the end of her freshman year. It was imperative to her that she kept her grades at or above 100% in all subjects, even math. She thoroughly enjoyed life sciences such a Biology and Biomed, and she was eagerly anticipating participation in the medical academy at Huntley High School.
Hannah was an athlete. She first took interest in soccer at around age 7 with the park district. After a rough start she eventually found a home with the Heat United. Playing with the girls on her team was a large part of her identity and one of her greatest joys. She was able to participate briefly on the Huntley High School Girls JV2 team. Although she complained about the size of the jerseys, she was proud to put it on.
Hannah was an advocate. She followed the USWNT in all their accomplishments on the field but was most interested in their fight for women’s rights and equal pay. She followed current events and was a staunch supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, LGBTQ rights, science as fact not opinion, and serving the greater good of the community. In the last year she was frustrated with how selfish society had gotten. She wore a mask, not so much for herself but out of care for others. Hannah was always wanting to help others, even to the end she donated all her organs through Gift of Hope so that others could be helped. She was courageous, generous, and kind.
She is survived by her parents, Mike and Jennifer, her brother, Jacob and sister, Emma, her grandparents, Dan and Jane Evitts and Laura Purse, by her aunts and uncles, Dustin (Beth), Angelina (Daniel), Mikayla (Donnie), Rebecca and Joshua and friend, Daniel.
Hannah is preceded in death by her grandfather, Gregory Purse.

Hi, I'm so sorry for your loss. Hannah was such great soul and will forever be remember. I have known Hannah for a while now (since elementary school). And every time we talked she was so sweet and just a great person. We tried out together for soccer but I decided to stick with track. I remember us playing soccer together. She was so sweet.
