Obituary

Ronald E. Wiedenfeld, 82, of Huntley, died peacefully, June 4, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Friday, June 11, 2021, from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Mass will be streamed live on the DeFiore Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/defiorefuneral/
Burial will be at St. Mary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Vincent DePaul Society/St. Mary.
Ronald was born June 29, 1938, at his parents’ home in Milford Wisconsin, the son of Sylvester and Adelaide Wiedenfeld. On May 25, 1957, he married Rita Heideman. He worked as an aircraft inspector for United Airlines. He served in the Wisconsin Air Force Reserves. He had a true passion and talent for woodworking so much so that he and Rita build their dream log home in Martinsville, IN. He was a member of the Sun City Woodchucks, he worked at St. Mary Church where he did building maintenance along with wood working projects. He enjoyed Vintage Cars and World War II Aircrafts. Ron was a lifetime member of the Yankee Air Museum in Michigan. He was a true family man, organizing family picnics and annual Christmas parties. Nothing brought him more joy then spending time with his family. Ron was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Therese Schultz, Brian Wiedenfeld, Bruce (Kymberli) Wiedenfeld, Renee Andrae, Kevin (Kim) Wiedenfeld, Kurt (Vicki) Wiedenfeld, and Scott (Lana) Wiedenfeld, by his 17 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, his brother Leo (Judy) Wiedenfeld and by many nieces and nephews.
Ron was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Norbert, Raymond, and Lawrence and by his sisters, Lorraine, and Evelyn and by his wife, Rita.

Hi Dad. Miss you man. If you are where I think you are YES-ENJOY. And if you are then I hope to make it with you and mom, Lord willing.... But hey, prayers continue here for you to make it along with all those departed. Gotta love this grand God loving evil mixed universe. Yeeeee Haaaaa here we remain to stay in the mix and make a difference for GOOD on earth per God's moral teachings as we best know it. YYYEEESSSS, see ya, your son as you named me, BW..... miles of smiles, hugs and ok, kiss's too but mostly for mom ok for bro's and sista's Aunt's Uncles and Cousin's and friends and oh yes co-workers and all too.
