Joseph F. Walter, 88, of Huntley, died peacefully, June 16, 2021.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021, from 10:00am until the 11:00am service all at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church-18N377 Galligan Road, Dundee, IL. Burial will be in Huntley Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Peter’s Lutheran Church.
Joseph was born November 25, 1932, the son of Joseph and Eleanor Walter. He proudly served in the United States Marines during the Korean War. On October 27, 1956, he married Audrey Biesterfeld. He worked as a brick layer and later as a computer programmer for Hart, Schaffner and Marx for over 26 years. He enjoyed wood working and oil painting. Bud was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughter, Pam (Keith) Nelson, grandchildren, Lauren (Cory) Williams and Eric (Becca) Nelson and by his great granddaughter, Mackenzie Rose. He is also survived by his sisters, Caryl (Mario) LaPorte, and Mary Jane (Edmund) Pangallo, and by his sister-in-law, Patricia Walter and by many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Audrey and brothers, Paul, Jerry and sister, Theresa.
