Susan A. Toomire, 89, of Huntley, died peacefully in her home on June 29, 2021.
Susan was born in Elgin on October 14, 1931, to parents Leroy and Leora (nee Gurke) Thompson.
Susan is survived by her children, Deborah (nee Toomire) Galvin, and John Toomire, her grandchildren, Kenny (Nicole), Ryan (Stephanie), Anthony (Ashlea), Carly, Emma, and John Jr., her great grandchildren, Mia, Macayla, Averie, Rylee, Carter, Caleb, and Lucas, and her sister-in-law, Marilyn Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her husband, H. John Toomire, and her siblings, Alice (Don) Rahn, Donald Thompson, and Joan (Curt) McCool.
Visitation will be Friday, July 2, 2021, from 9:00 a.m. to time of mass 11:00 a.m. at St Hugh of Lincoln Episcopal Church, 36W957 Highland Ave, Elgin. Interment to follow mass at Bluff City Cemetery.
