Obituary

Barbara Schaefer, 83, died peacefully in her home on Monday, July 26, 2021.
Barb was born on February 18, 1938, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, to parents Clarence and Elvera (nee Martin) Teigen. On June 25, 1965, Barb married Bert Schaefer in Park Ridge, Illinois. Barb is survived by her stepchildren, Deborah (Thomas) Koziel, and Kirk (Mary) Schaefer, her grandchildren, Brian (Tressa) Koziel, Scott (Renee) Koziel, Nicole (Johnny) Minardi, and Natalie Schaefer, her great-grandchildren, Gabrielle, Zachary, and Sutton, and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Bert Schaefer.

Jerry and I greatly miss Barb. Her humor, kindness, caring, and friendship were so special to us as we grew to know her after she retired. Her passing has left a hole in our hearts. May she rest in eternal peace with Bert.
