Earl Dineen

Obituary

Earl Dineen, 69, of Huntley, formerly of Wheaton, died on Thursday, July 29, 2021, in Huntley.

Earl was born on December 20, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan to parents Earl and Helen (Mazarcyk) Dineen. Loving brother of John and Paul. On May 19, 1972, he married the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Judy Scarlett. Earl’s family was the most important part of his life, and he dedicated his time to working hard to provide for them. Over the 49 years of marriage, Earl's job brought the family from Michigan to Virginia, Alabama New Jersey, Arkansas, and Illinois where they were able to meet wonderful people and build an amazing family during the journey. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, fishing and golfing, and could often be found cheering on his three older grandchildren at their sporting events. He loved watching his four younger grandchildren as they were growing up and developing their own personalities. He was an avid fan of the Detroit Lions and Michigan State. As he got older he thoroughly enjoyed creating wonderful memories traveling with his wife and family as much as he could. He was a kind, compassionate, and strong-willed man who will be missed immensely by all who knew him.

Earl is survived by his beloved wife, Judy Dineen, his children, Jeff (Amy) Dineen, Tim (Kirsten) Dineen, and Kelley (Greg) Cronkite, his grandchildren, Katelyn, Zack, Connor, Charlie, Everett, Owen, and Andrew, and many in-laws who became his best friends.

Visitation will be Friday, August 6, 2021, from 9 a.m. to time of Memorial Mass 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.

In loving memory of Earl Dineen, I consider myself fortunate to have worked with and known Earl as a friend over the years. He was a wonderful person on every level, a great friend to me, smart, gracious, caring of others, loved Judy and his family dearly - he will be forever missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. With deepest sympathies.

Judy, you and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. Remembering the trishaw ride Earl and you took around the neighborhood. It was a joy and a blessing.

Judy - you and your Family- were Blessed by Earl’s Love and Presence. He was a good and kind man with an infectious laughter that was totally engaging!! He Loved to talk , almost as much as Uncle Don did , and I will always cherish the memories of their long winded conversations at the Thanksgiving table and on the phone , especially when Don became ill. Earl never forgot him. His phone visits brought Don so much happiness and kept him connected to the Family - for which, I was always deeply Grateful. They were both extraordinarily interesting men , who enriched my Life just by being a part of it. With Gratitude - Gail Kelley
