Obituary

Frank E. Vaccaro, 89, of Huntley, died peacefully, August 3, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Saturday, August 7, 2021, from 9:00am until the time of the 10:00am Mass all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. Entombment will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association.
Frank was born March 4, 1932, to Salvatore and Rose Vaccaro. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1954-1956. On May 5, 1955, he married Anita R. Nardella. He started working for Dominic’s when he was 10 years old, when Dominick’s was still a corner store. He later worked as an accountant until his retirement. He was cofounder of the Sun City Italian Club; he was part of an Investment Club and was a Bocce Ball Champion. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Anita, his children, Pam (Mike Farrington) Bavester, Frank (Darla) Vaccaro, and Julie (David) Missurelli, by his 7 grandchildren, Jenny, Michelle, Victoria, Alyssa, Timothy, Geena, and Danielle, by his 5 great grandchildren, Brayden, Braxton, Brylee, Jackson and Colbie, and his cat Pearl.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his brother, Daniel.
