Mary Ann Scott, 78, of Huntley, died peacefully on October 24, 2021, at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.
Mary Ann was born in Chicago on December 30, 1942, to parents Nicholas and Mary (nee Caleva) Koehnke.
Mary Ann married her childhood sweetheart, Richard Scott and together they loved to travel before his death in 2018. Mary Ann was a feisty and strong-willed woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Mary Ann is survived by her children, Debbie (Bill) Lavazza, and Kim (Bill) Petrucci, her grandchildren, Lisa Roth, Amy (Teddy) Rodden, Ellyn Boyle, Emily (Jose) Rodriguez, Jessica Petrucci, Jennifer Petrucci, Joseph Petrucci, and Annalese (Chris) Amendt, 10 great-grandchildren, and her siblings, Dale (Vera) Koehnke, Nancy (Ron) Cielek, and Bob (Jayne) Koehnke,
She was preceded in death by husband, Richard Scott in 2018.
Visitation will be Thursday, October 28, 2021, from 10 a.m. to time of service 12 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Cremation to follow.

I will miss this strong will caring woman who told you like it was, We did have good times in Wisconsin and Florida with Rich and John. And remembering Bunco and Bingo at Rookies I still have my little Nome that you gave me for good luck. I will be praying for you and your family rest in peace my friend.

Dear Kim & Bill, Mary Ann was so blessed to have such a LOVING & CARING Daughter & Son-In-Law. You both were "there for her" to the very end during this "long & difficult" journey these past 10 months.
