Kevin C. Ackmann, 35, of Kingston, IL died suddenly October 27, 2021.
Kevin was born December 29, 1985, the son of Steven Ackmann and Micki Baert Wallace. He graduated from Hampshire High School in 2004 and was currently working for the Kane County DOT. On August 19, 2017, he married Beth Sodt. Kevin loved the outdoors and nature, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Kevin was hardworking, strong, but was also extremely sweet and had a keen sense of humor. He enjoyed hanging out with his 2 brothers, and he also enjoyed spending time with his son, Logan. Kevin was an amazing father, husband, son, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Beth, his son Logan, his parents, Steve Ackmann, Micki (Tom) Wallace, his brothers, Jason Ackmann (Lindsey Anderson) and Cody (Kailey) Ackmann. Kevin is also survived by his grandma, Justine Ackmann, and grandpa, Phil Baert. His In-laws Mike and Bonnie Sodt, along with Jaclyn Sodt, Michelle (Ryan) Robatzek and by his nieces and nephews, Leah Ackmann, Aidan Sodt, Kylie, Benjamin, and Cole Robatzek, his goddaughter Grace Krenz, and many aunts, uncles, cousins, step-siblings and friends. Kevin was preceded in death by his grandpa Dave Ackmann and grandma Barbara Baert.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 2, 2021, from 3-8 pm at DeFiore Funeral Home 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, 11:00am at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, 279 E. Jefferson, Hampshire, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Ackmann family for an education fund to be set up for Logan.

When it comes to sudden issues like this I'm at a loss loss for words!!y brothers best friend and I had the privilege of working with him many times. Just a great MAN in general all around. I know he's in a better place telling more like yelling at us not to to cry!! Love you Kevin !!
