Obituary

Sharon “Sherri” Lee Tintner (nee Hammette), 74, of Huntley, died peacefully, November 20, 2021, after a courageous fight with cancer.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 10:30 – 12pm with a memorial service honoring Sherri starting at 12pm. The location will be DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL.
Sherri was born December 23, 1946. She was a beautiful, thoughtful, happy, outgoing, and selfless Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Aunt and Friend. She always put others before herself. Sherri had a smile and personality that would light up a room. She always saw the best in people and was forgiving, kind and empathetic. She enjoyed dining out, dancing, water, sunsets, walking on the beach, listening to music, going to church, and most of all spending time with her beloved family and friends. Her zest for life, her faith, her family, and friends were the biggest part of who she was. Upon her last moments she shared “Have fun, enjoy life, find joy in everything, be happy and love your family.”
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa Tintner, and son, Marc (Pam) Tintner, her grandchildren, Nina, and Samantha; her siblings, Jay (Cathe) Brady, Jeff (Kitty) Hammette, and Darleene (Damji) Shah and by several nieces and nephews as well as her Granddoggie Gianna who loved her so. Sherri was preceded in death by her parents, Betty Jane Schroll Brady and Frank L. Hammette.
