Obituary

Renata Nicely, 73, of Geneva, formerly of Melrose Park, died peacefully, November 23, 2021, with her family by her side.
Visitation will be on Friday, November 26, 2021, from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. There will also be visitation on Saturday, from 10:00am until the time of the 11:00am funeral service all at St. Luke’s Church- 410 S. Rush Street, Itasca, Illinois. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery in River Grove, Illinois.
Renata was born October 29, 1948, the daughter of Francis and Irene Ridge. On October 27, 1967, she married Duane Harold Nicely. She was a devoted wife, mother, Oma, and great Oma who will be missed by all who knew her. Her greatest joy was spending time with her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Duane, her daughters, Rhonda Nicely, Anissa (Jim) Pietrarosso, Christel (Kenneth) Weinaug, Debora (Scott, Jr.) Painter and Elizabeth Nicely Erickson (Karl), by her fourteen grandchildren, Breanna, James, Jeremy, Jack, Justin, Savannah, Connor, Madalyn, Matthew, Drew, Madison, Brantley, Myla and Abigail and by her great grandson, Asher. She is also survived by her brother, Ronnie Ridge. She was aunt to Timothy, Leah and Emily.
Renata was preceded in death by her parents and by her brother, Drake Ridge.
