Allison Smith, 61 of Huntley, passed away on Friday morning, March 15, 2013 at the Crossroads Care Center in Woodstock.
She was born July 23, 1951 in Fort Monmouth New Jersey, the daughter of Theodore R. and Julienne M. (Ermel) Smith. She moved with her family at a very early age to Elgin where she was raised and educated, graduating from Larkin High School. She worked for the Lee Wards Company for over 25 years and later Educational Resources, both while she helped at the Hodges Truck Center. She loved her cats and enjoyed reading.
Allison is survived by her mother, Julienne Mullen of Huntley, her sister, Lianne (Mike) Wendt of Genoa and four nephews.
A memorial gathering will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 23rd all at Trinity Lutheran Church, 11008 Church Street, Huntley. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
