Rocco Michael Clesceri, 75, of Huntley, formerly of River Grove, died peacefully on December 9, 2021 at St. Joseph Hospital in Elgin.
Rocco was born in Chicago on November 9, 1946 to parents James and Lucille Clesceri. He was married to the love of his life, Cindy, dad to Bob (Martha), grandpa to Bobby, Sammy and grand-doggy Brew. Brother to Vito (Pat), Joanne Brown and Jim (JoAnn). He was a proud veteran of the United States Army and then went on to become a Police Officer with the River Grove Police Department. It was there he met his best friend and future wife, Cindy. Rocco was a devoted husband. There was nothing he wouldn’t do for his family. He loved to spend time with his grandsons. One of his favorite things to do was go out to eat with Cindy. He enjoyed watching old movies, westerns and listening to country music. Rocco was a kind, compassionate and generous man who will be missed by all who knew him.
Visitation for Rocco will be Tuesday, December 14, 2021, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Visitation on Wednesday, December 15, 2021, will be at 9 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Mass will be Wednesday, December 15, 2021, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Interment to follow mass at Huntley Cemetery, Dean Street, Huntley.

Cindy, sorry to hear about Rocco. Hopefully he wasn't ill or suffering. But, what's harder thank losing a partner or parent, is losing a son or daughter. When I lost my son, Brian, that was very, very difficult. I'll pray to St Joseph to help you through this.

I didn't know Rocco for long but worked with him for a short time at the RGPD. I just saw him a few months ago when he stopped in at River Grove. He was always fun to work with. I am sorry for your loss and may he rest in peace.
Cindy, so sorry for the loss of Rocco. Both of you were great to work with at the Grove. Rocco, Margie, and I spent one long New Years Eve, during a wind storm answering alarm calls and a break-in that I will never forget. Our prayers are with you.

Dear Cindy and the rest of our Clesceri family, we are deeply saddened by Rocco’s passing. I hope Cindy and Rocco’s loved ones find some comfort in each other as they deal with this loss. I think he is now with that big grin as he is teasing Aunt Lucy.
