Peter J. Eberle, 82, of Huntley, died peacefully, December 16, 2021, with his family by his side.
Peter was born June 10, 1939, in Neu-Ulm, Germany the son of Josef and Theresa. He was proud of his German heritage, but he was also proud to be an American citizen. He immigrated to America in 1960 and on May 19, 1962, he married Mary S. Hess. Peter was a loyal and dependable mechanic for Loeber Motors/Mercedes Benz of Chicago for his entire career; he retired in 2004. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking care of his cars, and most of all, spending time with his grandchildren. He and Mary enjoyed 59 years of marriage with stops in Chicago, Schaumburg and Huntley. He was a loving Husband, Father, Opa, Great-Opa and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Eberle, his sons, Peter (Diane) Eberle and Ronald (Jackie) Eberle, by his six grandchildren, Kimberly (Don), Holly, Lauren, Megan, John, and Matthew, and by his three great grandchildren, Andrew, Ben and Charlie. He is also survived by his brother Werner and the late Inge (Bӧllicke) Eberle and by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Visitation will be Saturday, January 8, 2022, from 12-1pm at St. Mary Church with Mass being celebrated at 1pm at St. Mary-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Jude’s Children Research Hospital.
