Prudence H. Sindelar, 73, of Crystal Lake, died peacefully on January 15, 2022
Prudence was born September 1, 1948, the daughter of Roger and MaryAlice Simon. On August 17, 1968, she married Keith J. Sindelar. Prudence began her career as a nurse and continued her education to earn a BS degree in nursing. As an RN, she worked at LaGrange Hospital in the heart program, and later in the ICU at Loyola where she became a trauma nurse specialist. In 1995 she left nursing to happily assist with the care of her grandchildren. Prudence and Keith later owned and operated a bed and breakfast in Michigan before moving back to Illinois. Prudence was always thinking of and caring for others, and she was a true prayer warrior. As a loving wife, mother, (great)grandmother, and friend, she will be missed by all who knew her.
Prudence is survived by her husband of 55 years, Keith; her children, Theresa (Steve) Jagman; Keith Jr. (Krista) Sindelar; Patti (Carl) Bowman; Brian (Jen) Sindelar; Kevin (Kelly) Sindelar; as well as by her fifteen grandchildren; Niko, Nicholas, Daniel, Ryan, Nicole, Rebecca, Brian, Kayla, Tina, Gabriel, Juliana, Anthony, Arabella, Finley, and Tucker and by her two great-grandchildren, Beckham and Cade. By her brother in-law Scott (Susie) Sindelar, and siblings, Raoul, Suzanne, Carroll, Alvah, Kristin and Phil and by many nieces and nephews.
Prudence was preceded in death by both of her parents, and brothers Roger and Jonathan.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 20, 2022, from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to; St. Vincent De Paul Society of Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in Crystal Lake, IL (https://elizabethannseton.org/)

Peanut butter spoons and graham crackers with chaos looking through many many shoes and hats and gloves, Pru was a fantastic aunt who cared for all of the kids dearly. She will always be in my heart and will be dearly missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Keith and the rest of the family.

Prudence and Keith trained me as SVdP home visitor. Prudence and I went on a few calls together when Keith had to work. What a compassionate lady, strong her in faith and just a blessing to know. I know she will be praying for her family and friends in her new mission in heaven.
