Lois Pietschman, 98, of Huntley, died peacefully on January 22, 2022, at Heritage Manor in Elgin.
Visitation will be Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 10 a.m. to time of memorial service 11 a.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Inurnment to follow at Irving Park Cemetery, 7777 W Irving Park Rd, Chicago.

Lois will always be a most special relative to me. She was my mom, Shirley’s, familial soulmate. Her laugh was truly the best. She is having coffee with my mom and the rest of the clan now. Carole, thank you for being the very best of companions to Lois for so many years. You two are truly an inspiration for Lynn and myself. We will miss our Lois.
I’m so sad that Lois, with her kindness, humor and devotion to her family, is gone. I will think of her calling me and saying enthusiastically, “Hi, dolI”. I’d know that voice and greeting immediately. My condolences, Carole, and to the families of cousins I remember from our family picnics and parties long ago. It’s hard to think that generation in my family is now gone. Rest In Peace, Lois.
