Steven Michael Jones, Sr. 61, of Hampshire, died peacefully on January 23, 2022, at Northwestern McHenry Hospital.
Steve was born in Elgin on December 30, 1960, to parents Luther and Wanda (nee Lorkowski) Jones. After being introduced by a friend to Janet Garcia the pair were married in 1985. Steve loved anything with an engine and spent as much of his time as he was able to around cars. He loved classic cars, lifted trucks, but his true love was a Mopar. Steve was hard-working, dedicated to his family, and a good friend who will be missed by all who knew him.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Janet Jones, his children, Steve (Desiree) Jones, Jr., and Mike Jones, his grandchildren, Addison and Wesley, and his sister, Michaeline Jones Valesquez.
Visitation for Steve will be Friday, January 28, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Funeral will be Saturday, January 29, 2022, at 10 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home.
Interment to follow at Hampshire Cemetery.
