Gael A. Konrath, 81, of Huntley, formerly of Crystal Lake, died on January 28, 2022, at his home.
Gael was born in Chicago on April 16, 1940. While working in insurance sales he met and married Tina Limperis. Together they loved to travel all over the world. They especially enjoyed cruises and were always planning out their next adventure. Gael was a proud supporter of Big Brother Big Sister and in his spare time he enjoyed playing chess. Gael loved people and always made a point to make sure that everyone was included. He was the life of the party and was always full of joy. He loved animals and rescued many cats and dogs throughout his life, including his most recent pets: Rocky the dog and Mandy the cat.
Gael is survived by his beloved wife, Tina Konrath, his children, Greg Konrath and Jenny Konrath, Tina’s children, Christine (Tony) Ruiz, and Chris (Sue) Jewasinski, Six grandchildren, Two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his son Jeffrey Konrath, his parents, his six siblings, and his dog, Max.
Services for Gael will be private.
