Alice T. Sperandio, 85, of Huntley, formerly of Hanover Park, died peacefully at home on January 28, 2022.
Alice was born on September 23, 1936, in Chicago to parents Jacob and Violet (nee Cygan) Foszcz. She married her true love August Sperandio in 1961. Alice was the definition of a Social Butterfly. She had a huge social life and loved to play cards and other games with her many friends. Alice will be remembered as a loving and caring wife, a supportive mother, a grandmother, a great-grandmother, a sister, an aunt, and a dedicated and loyal friend to many. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Nan (Don) Oakleaf-Pape, Nikki Sharp, Jim (fiancé Amanda Martensen) Sperandio, her grandchildren, Jamie, Staci, Jaxon, and Zoey, her great-grandchild Gianna, and her great-grandchild Gavin, who is due in March, her sister Jean (Dominick) Santore, her sister-in-law Chris Foszcz, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband August “Augie” Sperandio, her son-in-law Mike Sharp, and her brothers, Mitchell (Fran) Foszcz, and Eugene Foszcz.
A memorial service for Alice and Augie is being planned for a later date.
