Obituary

Donald S. Kruto 90, of Huntley died peacefully, February 20, 2022.
Donald was born on February 14, 1932 in Chicago, IL the son of Stephen and Anna Kruto. He was proud to be a Valentine baby. On January 22, 1955, he married his beloved Joy Alice Percival. The couple made their home at 431 Easy Street in Des Plaines, where they raised their family and then moved to Huntley, Il in 2000.
Donald was an electrician and inventor. During his career, he invented a fluid flow control method that is still used today on most two stage gas furnaces. He played on a Semi-Pro baseball team, 3rd baseman, and in 1952 the team won the Championship. He was an avid White Sox fan. He coached his sons in Waycinden Little League Baseball and the Lyons Raiders football teams. Donald enjoyed Indy car and Can Am racing along with races at Arlington Park.
His greatest love was for his wife, Joy and his children: Lynn, Stephen, Donald and Tammy. His special gift in life was the offering of his knowledge, experience and life lessons.
In 2015, his beloved wife, Joy moved to heaven. Donald Stephen Kruto believed in the gospel message: Jesus came into humanity as fully God and fully man, without sin, voluntarily took the sins of the world upon Himself and gave His life. Jesus died and was buried and rose again on the third day according to Scripture. His blood washed our sins away and Jesus gave us His Righteousness so that we may be in the presence of God. Donald Stephen Kruto is now in the presence of our Loving, most Merciful Father God.
He is survived by his children, Lynn (James) DeSmidt, Stephen Kruto, Donald (Janet) Kruto and Tammy (Scott) Yost. By his grandchildren, Cary, Coleen, Nicole, Sydney, Donald, Justin, and Aubrey, and ten great grandchildren.
A funeral service is planned for Saturday,May 14,2022 with visitation at 10am until the time of the 10:30 Service all at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church-Huntley,IL.
