Lillian Grace Wieder (nee Lambrigtsen) age 94 of Des Plaines, IL. more recently from Huntley, Il. Died peacefully February 16, 2022, at home with her family by her side.
She was born July 12, 1927, in Chicago, Il. to Bernhard and Gudrun (nee Brevik ) Lambrigtsen of Norway. Lillian was a loving and devoted Wife, Mother, Nana, Great Nana as well as Stepmom and Step Grandmother. In addition to her Family and her constant canine companion Reggie, Sewing brought her much joy shown by the countless quilts and pillows that she made for her family and her friends. In her younger years Lillian was a secretary for a number of companies one being the company she met her husband Charles G. Wieder. She enjoyed the music of Neil Diamond, and her family now has that same love. She also enjoyed watching Gunsmoke and the old western genre. Hobbies in her younger years were bowling, swimming, horseback riding and tennis but mostly she enjoyed raising her family.
Loving Mother of Dale (Ed) Kewitz, John (Patricia nee Spyrison), Jessica (Howard) Atlas, Wendy (Rory) Hooczko and Dear Stepmom to Kim Evans. Cherished Nana to Rachel (Zach) Hillmann, Logan Hooczko, Sarah, Taylor and Sam Atlas. Treasured Great Nana to Charlie Ann Hillmann. Dear Step Grandmother to Chuck (Lauren) Freeborn and Ben Evans. Lillian was also a caring Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
Lillian was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Boyd Lambrigtsen, her sister Marion (nee Lambrigtsen) Simonson, her husband Charles G. Wieder and her son John Charles Wieder.
Lillian as her husband and son did, has gifted her body to science.
With the recent passing of Lillian’s son, John, there will be a joint celebration of life honoring both Lillian and John on March 26, 2022, from 1-5pm at the Golf Club of Illinois 1575 Edgewood Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102
