William Robert Maples, 64, of Pingree Grove, died March 10, 2022, peacefully at his home with his family by his side.
Visitation will be on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 4-7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, Illinois. A Funeral service will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at the funeral home.
William was born November 14, 1957, in Blue Island, Illinois the son of William and Kathleen Maples. He worked for Local #134 as an electrician for forty years. On April 15, 2005, he married Sheri Murawski.
Bill never met a stranger and could light up a room just by walking in. He was an avid Cubs fan, golfer, and enjoyed all sports. Bill was the life of the party, was always a jokester, and enjoyed making people laugh. He was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sheri, his children; Troy (Meghan) Maples, Cody (Chelsea) Maples, Andrea (Nick) Mear, and Steve (Dee) Bozinovich, 8 grandchildren; Theo, Harrison, Lucas, Holland, Koen, Mya, Madelyn, and Grayson, by his siblings; James Maples, Lorraine Maples, Timothy Maples, Pamela Maples, Sandra (Daniel) Borak, and Steven (Jennifer) Maples, and by many nieces and nephews.
Bill was preceded in death by his parents.

Sheri, I am very sorry for your loss, I read that the greatest compliment that can ever be paid to someone is that you'll really miss them when theyre gone. Well Im really going to miss Billy, he was a great guy. As far as Im concerned God called home the wrong guy.
Very sorry to see this news. Bill already felt like a friend when I first met him. Every conversation I had with him was always positive, and he seemed to live on the bright side of life. My condolences go out to Sheri and the family.
