Obituary

Mary A. Drydale, 75, of Huntley, died peacefully, March 15, 2022, with her family by her side.
Mary was born December 1, 1946, the daughter of Benjamin and Mary Elwell. On November 13, 1965, she married Durwood Drydale. She was creative and enjoyed sewing, quilting, and crocheting. She and Woody enjoyed traveling. She was also known to like to do a bit of shopping. Mary and Durwood were active members of St. Peter Lutheran Church. Mary was a member of the Woman’s Guild and helped with funeral luncheon, and holiday gatherings throughout the year, and was also a member of the Sewing Guild putting her love of quilting to use on the “Quilts for Mongolia Project”. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Durwood, “Woody,” her daughters, Pamela Drydale and Melissa (Joe) Kliemencic, by her grandchildren, Chris, and Samuel and by her brother, Benjamin (Debbie) Elwell.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 24, from 10 until the 11:00am memorial service all at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lien of flowers memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
