I first met Ken when I was invited to go swimming at their pool in Schaumburg. He`d walk in the house from the deck... shorts, Cubs hat on and a beer in hand. My kind of guy. We immediately got along. Ken got along with everybody. Super laid back and always smiling. I believe I sat in the living room and talked with Ken more than I swam. I know we had good conversations because I always left feeling better. Ken made a difference in my life. He was one of those individuals that I really looked up to and wanted to model. Not just the shorts beer and cubs but the fact that he made good choices and was surrounded by the things and people that made him happy. I kept in touch with Carole and Ken throughout their travels and enjoyed being able to see them in Huntley. Even in his later years our conversations were slightly different but none the less enlightening for me. I always did and always will have the best memories and fondest thoughts about Ken. I`ll miss him and his kindness.
