It is with great sadness that we announce the death of our precious son Andrew Michael Fulcer. Andrew peacefully passed away on May 19, 2022 and will be forever missed by all who were lucky enough to know him.
Andrew was born September 16, 1999, the son of Mark and Rebecca Fulcer. Andrew graduated from Huntley High School in 2018 and in May 2022 he graduated from Illinois State University. He majored in Managerial Economics and General Finance with a minor in Financial Planning. He graduated Cum Laude. Andrew was set to start his new path on June 20th with the Office of the Comptroller of the Currency in Downers Grove. Andrew was an incredibly loving person with a passion for life. He was an exceptional athlete and loved sports.
During his brief time, he was always willing to help anyone with whatever he could, whether it be a ride to work, a jump start, help with homework or the famous Taco Bell and Casey Pizza food runs, Andrew was all in. His friends affectionately called him “big sexy” or “Grandpa Fulc.” Andrew was competitive, determined and fiercely loyal. Andrew loved competition and challenging himself and friends in everything, from fantasy football to school. No matter the challenge or request, he was determined to ensure he exceeded all expectations whether for himself or others. He fiercely defended his friends, family and his beloved Green Bay Packers and Chicago Bulls.
We will all deeply miss this precious angel Andrew for the rest of time. Andrew enriched our lives by his presence. He was loved by all who met him, and the world is a better place because he was here.
He is survived by his parents, Mark and Rebecca Fulcer, his amazing precious sister, McKenzie, his grandparents Bill and Chris Fulcer, Grandmother, Gwen Eurich, Aunt Gael, Uncle Jeff, Uncle Aaron, and Uncle Matt. He is survived by his girlfriend, Mackenzie, and their beloved puppy Maeve. He was preceded in death by his grandfather Harold Eurich and his favorite cat Gandolph.
Visitation will be held on Friday, May 27, 2022, from 4-8pm with a time of sharing at 7pm at DeFiore Funeral Home-10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, May 28, at 11:00am at Shepherd of the Prairie Lutheran Church-10850 Main Street Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family of Andrew for a memorial fund that will be established. I was extremely saddened to receive the news of Andrew passing this week. Andrew was a dear friend of mine that I have so many memories with from my first year of college. He was a special person to be around and I always enjoyed his company. Andrew taught me how to be a leader and pushed me to do my best in school and in life. He will be deeply missed and never forgotten by the people he impacted during his lifetime
Fulcer. Or as I knew him Fulcertron 3000. Was the best of any of us. Someone that I looked up to even if we were the same age. A gentle giant who we all looked up to, someone who showed us that you can balance work and fun. Someone who I truly thought was better than I was, and inspired me to be better. My PCP. Andrew was a great brother, role model, leader, friend and beautiful person. He brought many people to become better versions of themselves, and spread positivity like no other. He was a fantastic person.
Andrew was the kindest person you could meet. A leader, a man of character, and role model is who Andrew was. He always wanted the best for everyone including himself. Andrew was one of the first guys that I got to know in the fraternity, but more than the fraternity, he became my actual friend and someone I could turn to if I ever needed anything. Anytime I would see him around I wold talk to him for 5-10 minutes, but I could have talked to him more than that simply because he was so easy to talk to. I am truly going to miss him and I’ll never forget the talks we had especially about sports when we would see each other around. We didn’t hang out that much, but I truly cared about him and I know he cared about not just me, but everyone else. Andrew you will truly be missed and I know you want the best for everyone, so I am going to be the best version of myself because that’s all you want for others. The best PCP no doubt about it. Andrew was a great person who inspired all of us around him. He was a good friend on mine who I knew would always give positive advice on life situations. He also showed me what a leader is and how to bring a team together to achieve a common goal. He will be missed by everyone because of his kindness that he always displayed. My PCP forever. Fly High

Rest In Peace Andrew you were one of the most genuine trustworthy man and a great brother. My prayers go out to the family and anyone who had the honor to know this great man. One of my favorite memory with Andrew is when a couple of the older guys from the fraternity played in a fantasy football league. Andrew told the group he was going to win all the money and win the league. No one in the league believed that he would, and being the fantasy football legend he is he won the money. I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I was absolutely shocked to hear of Andrew's passing. I never got to meet adult Andrew and will always remember him as Kenzie's little brother who was being goofy or saying hi as he passed by with a pair of cleats in hand as he got back from practice. Knowing Andrew was an absolute pleasure. The pure joy in that man’s everyday life brought so much happiness to those around him. So many memories he created during his time at Illinois State. I met Andrew through Sigma Pi, where our ideals contained “develop character” and “promote scholarship” among many others. Andrew exemplified those and many other fraternity ideals and grew into the Illinois State University student government. He pushed brothers to do well in school and also learn something from the fraternity itself. I knew Andrew would continue on to do great things, and it saddens my heart that he didn’t get to show us how great he truly would be. My heart goes to his family in this difficult time.

Andrew was a light no matter where he went. I was lucky enough to grow up with such amazing man, going to school with him Kindergarten-high school graduation. Andrew Fulcer; one of the nicest young people I have ever come across in decades of coaching. A gifted soccer player, a very bright kid, yet humble; a consummate team player. A terrific athlete, but an even finer young man. I saw Andrew mature from a boy to a grown man. I can’t ever recall him being other than a positive influence; serious, committed, determined, disciplined, successful, well-behaved, cheerful, polite, respectful. A terrific peer role model. We should all have such a son. It’s impossible to imagine never being in his friendly oversized presence again. It’s tragic that just after completing college, Andrew won’t be able to pursue his career and lifetime goals and dreams. It's with a heavy heart I offer my condolences to the Fulcer family and friends on behalf of the OCC. While my interactions with Andrew were brief, he left a lasting impression that contributed to the growing excitement of working with him. He spoke with passion and joy, expressed a desire to be great and exemplified the qualities any mother, father and sister would be proud of. Upon sharing the news with my team, for those he spoke with in the interim, they all expressed how kind, polite and respectful he was through their communications. I've replayed the interview in mind several times and the thing that stands out bright was his smile, and that picture has left footprints in the sand that can't be washed away by the waves of time.

Andrew really grew into an incredible, amazing young man. Reading all the tributes and attending the funeral via live stream, it is easy to see how many footprints he has left on the hearts of anyone who knew him.
