To the whole family, I send my deepest condolences. Uncle Rich (always addressed me as Michael) had a good heart, spoke softly, had a kind soul. He shared much wisdom with me as a young man and treated me with respect. I admired Uncle Rich. He was a good man and will be missed. Rest in peace, Uncle Rich, say Hi to my dad for me.

Carol and Family, We were so sorry to hear that Rich passed away. We feel so fortunate to have had Rich as a next door neighbor for 10 years in St. Charles. We had the best times sitting on the back patio and chatting with him over the years. He was always there with a smile and great fatherly advice as we moved into our first home, got married and had our kids. We loved seeing how much he adored Carol, Lisa and Nicole and how he would light up whenever the grandkids were around. We always chuckled when he would talk about how Carol was spoiling the grandkids because we know he wouldn't have had it any other way. He was always there to lend a hand, especially when Todd was traveling. Whether it was a quick trip to the store for me to pick up something for one of the kids when they were sick or helping me try to start the lawnmower, Rich was there with a smile and when needed, a hug. Sending our love to all of you as you mourn the loss and celebrate the life of a husband, dad and grandpa that truly was one of a kind. Love, Sarah & Todd Lohr
