Charmaine Katherine Golda, 75, of Gilberts and formerly of Crystal Lake, died peacefully, June 17, 2022, with her family by her side.
Charmaine was born October 16, 1946, the daughter of Sylvio and Helen Rossate. On May 25, 1968, she married Michael Edward Golda. She worked for Kemper Insurance and later for District 300. She was quick witted, keen, and sassy. She enjoyed shopping, Chinese food, boating, and especially spending time with her family. She was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Heidi (Chris) Schuler, Mike (Michelle) Golda and Heather Sweet, by her seven grandchildren, Kayla, Madison, Jacob, Ethan, Nicole, Taylor, and Kendall and by her two brothers, Jack (Sue) Rossate and Ron (Fran) Rossate.
Charmaine was preceded in death by her husband, Michael, her parents Sylvio and Helen Rossate and her son-in-law, Scott Sweet.
Visitation will be held on Friday, June 24, 2022, from 4-7pm with a service being held at 4:30pm all at DeFiore Funeral Home -10763 Dundee Road, Huntley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to copdfoundation.com

We are sincerely sorry to hear that Char has passed. She was a very sweet lady who was easy to talk to and had such a happy outlook on life. She has a wonderful family and her daughter, Heather, was married to our nephew Scott Sweet, who passed a few years ago. God’s blessings to Char’s family and prayers for their peaceful acceptance. I worked at NATLSCO for many years with Char. She was definitely one of the wittier people I've ever crossed paths with, and she made those years very memorable. I was also honored to have met her husband, Mike. Godspeed to you, my friend.
