Thomas Pucci

Obituary

Thomas (Tom) James Pucci, Jr., 73, of Algonquin, died peacefully on July 18, 2022.

Tom was born in Westerly, RI on October 16, 1948, the son of Thomas James Pucci, Sr. and Theresa (nee Algiere) Pucci. He graduated from LaSalle Academy High School in Providence, Rhode Island in 1966 and then Marquette University in 1970.

On May 30, 1970, he married Kristine Adams. Tom worked as a Sales Executive/Vice President for Motorola, Inc. for his entire 32-year career and we often said he “bleeds blue”. He was a true Motorolan through and through and loved the company and family he worked for.

Tom enjoyed golf, his wife’s amazing cooking and his family. He was an avid sports fan, but his favorite sports to watch were the ones his children and grandchildren were participating in. He was a diehard Red Sox fan and sure did love that World Series win in 2004! He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew and looked up to him.

He is survived by his wife, Kristine, his children Deanna (Pat) Murphy, Ben (Julia) Pucci and by his 4 grandchildren Connor, Griffin, Erin, and Duncan.

Tom was preceded in death by his daughter, Erin, and his parents.

Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2022, from 9:00-10:00 am with a funeral mass being held at 10:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church – 10307 Dundee Road.

So sad for the loss of another Motorolan. I did not have a lot of interface with Tom but he had a great reputation as being an outstanding person and Motorolan

Tom was a rare individual that will be missed by so many. I had the opportunity to work along side Tom and they were years I will never forget. Tom was passionate about everything he did and always led by example. He will be missed.

Kris Tom’s heart was as a big as he was. Several of our St Charles friends attribute their success at Motorola to Tom. Our condolences to you and your families.

Tom was a positive influence on all the people he touched. Tom was a leader of people leading by commitment, ethics, and celebrating others achievements. But what I valued most was Tom’s friendship. He was an inspiration for me.

Kristine, So sorry for your loss. Our families knew each other on Lake St. in Crystal Lake. I think about our neighbor time often.
