Walter T. Gramza, Jr., 73, of Huntley, died peacefully August 21, 2022.
Walter was born July 23, 1949, the son of Walter and Constance Gramza. On July 29, 1972, he married Bessie Karmeris. He loved telling stories about his time as a bricklayer, enjoyed traveling as a truck driver and retired from the logistics industry. Giving him time for what he enjoyed most, being a handyman and helping others. One of his greatest joys was spending time with his granddaughters. He was an avid Chicago Cubs and Bears Fan. He had a great sense of humor and was known to be a jokester. Walter was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his daughters, Roxanne Gramza, Nicole (Michael) Guarino and Michelle (Tom) Mihalopoulos by his grandchildren, Mia, Addi, Kennedy, Sia and Stavroula, by his sister, Georgine (Pete) Lonson and by many nieces and nephews.
Walter was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Bessie “Cookie,” and by his sisters, Laverne, and Mandy.
