Mary C. Morris, 72, died peacefully on October 12, 2022, in Huntley.
Mary was born in St. Louis on September 14, 1950, to parents Francis and Dessie (nee Upshaw) Gamache. Mary was an accomplished pilot and was one of the first female pilots in the US. She loved to travel and enjoyed spending time with all of her friends. She was friendly and compassionate, and always had a kind word to share.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother, Frank.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 18, 2022, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. , a service will take place at 5:45 pm. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

Mary and I shared many professional and personnel stories. She never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything. She was genuinely a very kind and compassionate human being. She will be greatly missed. RIP Mary.
