Barton James Christiansen, 73, of Huntley, died peacefully on October 14, 2022, at The Pearl of Crystal Lake.
Bart was born in Chicago on August 22, 1949, to parents Robert and Ruth (nee Peterson) Christiansen. After college, he married his high school sweetheart, Ann Carpenter, and they celebrated their 50th anniversary on July 22nd of this year.
Bart loved his family and was very involved in raising his two boys. He was a proud Cub Master and loved to help with all their different sporting events. Bart loved to cook and had several papers published on food engineering. He was an intelligent man and a devoted fan of the Chicago Bears and the Chicago Cubs. He loved his grandchildren and was a supportive and thoughtful man. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bart is survived by his beloved wife, Ann Christiansen, his sons, Ryan (Krista) Christiansen, and Robert (Natalie) Christiansen, his grandchildren, Caden and Reese, his brother John Christiansen, his sister Linda Wallace, and his faithful canine companion, Charlie.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.

Bart was a good guy, always willing to chat. He was a good and friendly neighbor for a number of years. Kind regards to Ann and the rest of his family. May he rest in peace.
