Carole S. Belanger (nee Terry) of Huntley, IL, born February 2, 1946 in Chicago, IL, died peacefully on October 17, 2022 surrounded by loving family.
Carole is survived by her beloved husband of 56 years, A. Michael Belanger; her children, Susan (Matthew) Spillman, Anne (Anthony) Madormo, Albert (Stefanie) Belanger, Catherine (Robert) Barcy and Julie (Mark) Malloy; and her grandchildren, Michael (Elizabeth), Thomas, Veronica, Noah, Caitlyn, Olivia, William, Jack, Teague, Lilah, and Archie.
She was preceded in death by her parents Gene and Veronica Terry.
While raising her five children, Carole actively participated in their schools and worked as an accountant. She was an avid reader, and enjoyed many genres, especially science fiction and history. She applied her aptitude in language arts and math to many creative pursuits and was extremely accomplished in sewing and embroidery. For many years, she planted a beautiful rock garden, while her beloved golden retrievers frolicked around her. Carole hosted many festive holiday parties for family and friends, and she loved baking complex cakes and cookies. She generously shared her time and talents with her community, including her former parish, Queen of All Saints Basilica, in Chicago, where she served for several years as President of the Altar and Rosary Society.
Most of all, Carole devoted herself to her family, who will continue to celebrate her life.
A visitation will be held on Friday, October 21, 2022 from 9-10am with a Funeral Mass being celebrated at 10:00am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
