Obituary

Henry “Hank” Galias, 95, of Huntley, died peacefully, October 22, 2022, at JourneyCare Barrington.
Henry was born January 17. 1927 in Chicago, the son of Vincent and Catherine Galias. He proudly served in the United States Navy during World War II. He worked for ITW until he retired in 1992. He enjoyed golfing and was a huge New York Yankee Fan. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine Galias, his children, Glenn (Kathie) Galias, Doreen Danner, Linda (Jack) Petersen and Richard (Karen) Geeve. Seven grandchildren, Tyler, Ryan, Karlie, Justin, Michelle, Kayla and Sayard, eight great grandchildren, Jacksen, Kenlie, Alex, Beau, Journey, Tatum, and Hudson. Two Great Great grandchildren, William and Marceline.
He was preceded in death by his two brothers, and great granddaughter Ashley
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 27, 2022, from 9-10am with a Mass being celebrated at 10am all at St. Mary Catholic Church-10307 Dundee Road, Huntley. For further information please contact the funeral home at 847-515-8772 or online condolences may be sent to www.defiorefuneral.com

My condolences goes out to the family I only knew Mr Galias for a short period of time I was his caregiver and but him and his wife made me feel like family and I called them my grandparents well that’s what my kids know them by I’m going to miss him and thank you Mr for making me feel welcome in your home and thank you again for introducing me to Epix and watching your favorite cowboy movies I really enjoyed it and making me laugh your were hilarious
