Barbara Lee Jason, 81, of Huntley died peacefully on October 26, 2022, at home with family by her side.
Barbara was born on October 12, 1941, to Donald and Edith Carney in Chicago, Illinois. In 1962 she married Victor (Jasinski) Jason. Barbara was creative, organized, and deeply caring. She enjoyed working around her house, gardening, and going to craft shows. She could often be found watching Hallmark Christmas movies while enjoying a cup of black coffee and a cookie or two.
Barbara always cherished spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, never missing a birthday. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister-in-law, aunt, and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband, Victor Jason, her children, Susan (John) DeGuide, Pamela Johnson, and Brian (Erin) Jason, her grandchildren, Christopher, Alison, Alyssa, Andrew, Stephen, Parker, and Riley, her in-laws, many nieces and nephews, and by her beloved goldendoodle Caaaspr.
Barbara was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Carol, and her dear brother-in-law Richard Jason.
Visitation will be on Sunday, October 30, 2022, from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home located at 10763 Dundee Road in Huntley. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday at 10:00am at St. Mary Catholic Church at 10307 Dundee Road in Huntley.
