Deanne Marie Bernacchi, 73, of Wood Dale, Il died peacefully, November 9, 2022.
Deanne was born July 2, 1949, in Chicago, the daughter of Oliver and Eileen Troeger. She grew up on the Northwest side of Chicago, attended St. Ferdinand and Notre Dame High School. On May 9, 1971, she married Robert Bernacchi. She dedicated many years working for the Christian Brothers. She was a loving wife, mother, Nanni, sister, and special friend to many.
Dee was kindhearted, generous, and always thought of and cared for others before herself. She enjoyed shopping, often for shoes, but her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Dee will be missed by all who knew her.
Deanne is survived by her husband Bob Bernacchi, her children, Christopher (Heather), Matthew (Rene), her two grandchildren, Isabella and Benjamin, and her sister, Terri (Mark) Schmitz.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Eileen and Ollie, her sister, Nanci, and her Uncle Lee.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022, from 4-8pm at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. A Funeral Mass will be held 10:00am on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley, IL. The Funeral Mass will be live streamed starting at 10am by going to https://www.facebook.com/search/top?q=defiore%20funeral%20home. The burial will be at Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Hillside. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Gift of Hope Organ and Tissue Donation.
