Michael Cezary Owca, 40, of Huntley, formerly of Chicago, died on Friday, December 9, 2022.
Mike was born in Poland on May 9, 1982, to parents Christopher and Marta (nee Gorka) Owca. Mike was the energy of every room he was in and loved to bring smiles to everyone’s face. He was cheerful, goofy, and a loyal friend. He loved to spend time on the water fishing and boating. He was skilled with his hands and loved to spend time fixing cars and helping around the house. He was a loving and devoted family man who adored his fiancé Michelle, and lit up when spending time with their two children, Alexander and Amélie. Mike was the glue of his family, and he loved to bring everyone together. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Mike is survived by his beloved fiancé and mother of his children, Michelle Gorski, his children, Alexander “Olus’” Owca and Amélie “Ami” Owca, his parents, Christopher and Marta Owca, his siblings, Maciej Owca, Katarzyna (Paul) Kusiak, and Simon Owca, and his nieces, Sophia and Juliette.
Visitation will be Monday, December 19, 2022, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Mass will be Tuesday, December 20, 2022, at 11 a.m. at St, Margaret Mary Catholic Church, 111 S Hubbard Street, Algonquin.
Burial to follow mass at Huntley Cemetery in Huntley.
