My deepest sympathy to Dan's family. I worked with Dan at Schubert for all the years he was at the school. He was a dear friend, fellow teacher and excellent educator. God Bless the family and his memory. Gene Schnarr.

Dan was one of our favorite people to greet and meet with at St Mary’s. A truly nice man!

I went to Schubert and had Mr Mangan as a PE teacher and coach. He was great. Taught me how to dribble a basketball with my head up. I now know I have ADHD but that wasnt really a thing back then, he said to me "You are the politest crazy kid I ever met, I wish you could put all your effort into being good at sports instead running your mouth, but you always say please, thank you and MR so I guess you arent that bad" That was a HUGE compliment coming from a teacher as most legitimately hated me (probably rightly so) He also let me be a crossing guard. My Condolences to his family and he will be in my prayers.

As a student at Schubert I will always remember how my fun gym class was. He always kept his students very engaged and gave us many opportunities to try New activities we otherwise would have not most likely ever tried. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to know him and my sincerest condolences go out to his family and friends and to all the students & teachers that knew him. God bless him & may he rest in peace

So very sorry for your loss. We knew Dan and Barb from St Theresa to Fremd H.S. Where our boys played several sports together. Always good memories. Please accept our love and hugs to all the Mangan family.

Barb and Dan were the best neighbors, we could have asked for. Always available for help and a friendly moment. Spent many happy times in each other's houses and back yard. God's blessings.

I am deeply saddened to have learned of Dan's passing. He was a friend and colleague of mine at Schubert School. Dan was a well-beloved and highly respected educator. I cherish the memory of his warm persona, his patience with the students, his ready smile and humor, and his great kindness. Heartfelt condolences to his family, and to all whose lives he touched.

Sending prayers and my deepest sympathy to Dan's family. He was a truly great teacher, and I enjoyed many years of being his co-worker and friend at Schubert School.

I'm very sorry to hear about Mr. Mangan passing. I attended Fremd my last couple years of high school with Marty. Mr. and Mrs. Mangan were always cheering us on at sporting events. I always admired Mr. Mangan's work ethic outside of teaching that Marty would tell me about like fixing lawn mowers and snow blowers. He was always calm, polite, and would ask you questions about how you were doing.

I knew Dan at St. Mary's and at our monthly Rosary group at Barb & Deacon Lincoln's house. I didn't know him well, but he was kind, humble, good and with that Irish sense of humor. I knew Barb too and believe that Dan's bright light faded somewhat when he lost his soul mate. I am happy they will see each other in heaven!!

Our deepest sympathy to the family of Dan, we knew him at St Mary’s in the rosary group and whenever we would meet at church. He was so kind and gentle and always asked how we were doing, sincerely interested and ready to help. We will be having a Mass said for him at St Marys. He is finally united with the love of his life, Barb.

My deepest sympathy to Mr Mangan's family. I only have fine memories of him helping me through trying times in my life. Being coached in sports and life. Playing basketball, camping, sailing and going to Yellowstone twice. Wish I would have found him sooner to have told him in person. I know we will meet again.
