Mary Eve Thomas, beloved wife of Jonathan Thomas, passed away on December 15, 2022 at the age of 84. She passed away peacefully at her home in Huntley, Illinois with her family. She is survived by her husband, Jonathan Thomas, and her four children: Charles E. Thomas, Justin Thomas, Melissa Taylor, and Jason Thomas. She has 12 surviving grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. She was the daughter of Addison Klophel and Grace (Freeman) Klophel, residents of Springfield, Illinois, where she was born.
Mary was known for her love of travel and visited at least 50 countries. She particularly enjoyed nature and animals and supported animal conservation organizations. She was a member of the Christian Science Church and served in executive positions with the church in Wheaton, Illinois. She also volunteered to help many elderly residents and at nursing facilities.
Most important, she was a selfless loving person always willing to help others generously with her wisdom, emotions, and resources. She was much respected and loved and had many friends.
