Marion Marie Matthews (nee Pyke), 80, of Huntley, Il died peacefully on December 22, 2022.
Marion was born in Wausau, WI on July 24, 1942, to parents Milton and Margaret (nee Dahm) Pyke. Beloved wife of Howard for 57 years. Loving mother of Sheila, John (Rachel) and Michael (Rebecca).
Dearest grandmother of Justin, Shayna, Gwendolyn, and Matilda. Dear sister of Milton (Lucille) Pyke, Jr., Merlene (George) Kannenberg, Marge (David) Overmeyer and Marty Pyke. Fond sister-in-law of Kenneth (Sonya) Matthews, Marian (Richard) Zalesiak, and Roy Matthews.
Marion was an active member of First Congregational Church of Huntley. She volunteered with many missions, Grafton Food Pantry and she created countless salutation cards for veterans. After retiring from Water Quality in 1992, she enjoyed scrapbooking, genealogy, and traveling. Above all, she loved spending time with her family. Her selfless generosity and loving spirit will be missed.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, at 11 a.m. at First Congregational Church 11628 Main St. Huntley, Il
