Frances Edwina Zurek, 88, died peacefully on December 23, 2022, in her home in Algonquin.
Frances was born in Chicago on October 11, 1934, to parents James and Ruth (nee Fraiser) Allen, Sr. she married Leonard Zurek in 1986 and spent many happy years together prior to his death in 2007.
Frances is survived by her children, Patricia Cooley, Michael (Debbie) Cooley, and Richard (Rebecca Nellessen) Cooley, her 3 grandchildren, and her 6 great-grandchildren, and her cousin Gloria Levine.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Leonard Zurek, her brothers, James Allen, Jr, and William Allen, and her best friend, Nancy Bessert.
Cremation was private at DeFiore Funeral Home.
Inurnment at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery to take place in the spring.
