Chris E. Nyberg, 73, of Huntley, died peacefully in his home on December 21, 2022.
Chris was born in Chicago on September 4, 1949, to parents Arthur and Lorraine (nee Hiller) Nyberg. He married Kathryn Wilmes on June 12, 1971, and the couple proudly celebrated their 51st wedding anniversary earlier this year. After raising their family in Schaumburg, Chris and Kathy relocated to Huntley. Chris was always very active, and he was a hard worker. He was very family oriented and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Chris was patient, caring, and had a good-natured sense of humor. He was always helping and looking for something to do. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
Chris is survived by his beloved wife, Kathy Nyberg, his children, Lisa Nyberg, Jeffrey Nyberg, and Adam (Anita) Nyberg, his grandchildren, Layla and Ethan, his brother, Elmer (Dorothy) Nyberg, Kathy’s brother, James Wilmes, his nieces and nephews, and his dogs, Sox and Jaxon.
Services are private with DeFiore Funeral Home.
