Beverly Zawitkowski, 81, of Huntley, formerly of Chicago, died peacefully on January 9, 2023, at JourneyCare in Barrington.
Beverly was born in Chicago on March 21, 1941, to parents Arthur and Frances (nee Menth) Parker. She married Steven Zawitkowski on November 26, 1960, and the couple was married for 59 years before his death in 2019. Beverly was very social, and enjoyed parties with her family and friends. She loved hosting Christmas morning, and was very devoted to her family. She loved to spend time with her daughter, shopping and watching Lifetime movies. Her granddaughter was the light of her life, and she adored her. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Beverly is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Angelo) Filippo, her granddaughter, Sophia, her nephew, Brian Granger, and her niece, Diane Jurgins.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Steven, her daughter, Linda, her parents, and her sisters, Helen Parker, Arlene Parker, and Barbara McCutcheon.
Visitation will be Monday, January 16, 2023, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. all at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
