Louise Rathnow, 87, died peacefully on January 8, 2023, in Woodstock, Illinois.
Louise was born in Chicago on June 26, 1935, to parents John and Julia (nee Warmowski) Rathnow.
Louise was a loving and kind mother and grandmother. She treasured her relationship with her family, especially her grandson, Roman.
Louise is survived by her son, Fred (Elizabeth Devereaux-Voss) Voss, and her grandson, Roman.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sisters, Dolores Reszotko, Rosemarie Killips, and Catherine Behrens.
For over 25 years, she lived on a farm in Davis Illinois with her first husband Fred Voss, who preceded her in death.
The family enjoyed summers in the rural area of the Ozarks where she enjoyed water skiing and scuba diving. In the Midwest winters she enjoyed snow skiing.
While living in Yuma Arizona, she was highly active in Senior programs and was a Water Aerobics Instructor. Other activities included swimming, hiking and environmental organizations.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 19, 2023, from 9 a.m. to time of Mass 10 a.m. all at St. Mary Church, 10307 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Private interment.
