Dear Bonnie Linda Michael Laura and extended Family, Please accept my Heart Felt Sympathy in the passing of Uncle Bill. I know this time of pain and grief is difficult to endure, just know that he has been taken home to the Lord Jesus Christ. He's been reunited with his Mom Dad and his sister Millie, may they all rest in peace. I'd like to share a very fond memory I have with Uncle Bill which is the first thing that came to my mind when I heard of his passing. Back in 1973 while on a business trip to California Uncle Bill flew to Colorado to visit me while I was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver. He came to the barracks and picked me up I was dressed in my Dress Blue uniform, and off we went. First to visit the Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs. Next we were off to view Pikes Peak. I was in totally amazement by the scenery. Next we were driving to a Football Game between Colorado and Air Force. I remember being told, don't get your hopes up Colorado is favored...lol. Well since these were last minutes seats we were all the way in the Top section the last few rows. It was a pretty boring game as Air Force was getting shellaced. Colorado put their second and third string players and Air Force finally scored a few points. As I looked around the stands and saw lots of pretty girls, I said to Uncle Bill...I probably should have gone to college...we laughed. We left the game a little early in the third quarter as Air Force was going to win and we headed out to get a bite to eat. Uncle Bill had to catch a flight out heading back to Chicago. The day went by so fast but I had such a great time with Uncle Bill, and have forever cherished that memory.
