Ika Edison, 75, of Huntley, formerly of Chicago, died peacefully on January 17, 2023.
Ika was born in Prijedor, Bosnia/Herzegovina on January 29, 1947, to parents Stipo and Manda (nee Brisevic) Josic.
She married Raymond Edison on November 24, 1974. She enjoyed cooking, gardening, playing cards and was passionate about Chicago sports, a devoted Chicago Bears and Chicago Blackhawks fan. She loved spending time at Ravinia with friends and family listening to live music and always held a special place in her heart for animals, specifically cats, rescuing many during her lifetime. Above all, she was a loving wife and dedicated mother and grandmother and will be deeply missed.
Ika is survived by her beloved husband, Raymond Edison, her daughter, Stefani (Douglas) Ingallinera, her granddaughter, Olivia, and her siblings, Ivan (Snjezena) Josic, Alfonz (Danica) Josic, and Miroslava (Radoja) Topic. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Veronika (Milan) Stakic, Andjelko (Patrisija) Josic, Mato (Ankica) Josic, Zeljko (Luba) Josic and one infant sibling.
Visitation will be Thursday, January 26, 2023, from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley IL.
