Margaret Bosold

Obituary

Margaret Bosold, 78, of Sun City Huntley, died peacefully on Sunday, January 22, 2023.
Margaret was born in Madison, Wisconsin on April 11, 1944, to parents Richard and Mildred (nee Esser) Chryst. She married Dick Bosold on August 12, 1967. The couple settled in Mount Prospect for 35 years where they raised their three children.
Margaret loved children, and her love for them began as she babysat for neighbors and her nieces and nephews. Then she became a Practical Nurse and worked in pediatrics, raised her own children, and later became a certified home daycare provider. In the course of that time, she was honored with the Unsung Hero Award by the Village of Mount Prospect in 1995.
Margaret is survived by her beloved husband of 55 years, Dick Bosold, her children, Dan (Jenny) Bosold, Julie (Joe) Petryniec, and Katie (Harper) Chaffee, her grandchildren, Blake Bosold, Jack (Liv) Bosold, Ben Bosold, Jordan Petryniec, Joey Petryniec, Jenna Petryniec, Ellie Chaffee, and Maggie Chaffee, her sister-in-law, Patty Chryst, her brothers-in-law, Tom (Susan) Bosold, and Mike Bosold, and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, George Chryst, her sisters, Jean Chryst and Barbara Chryst, and her sister-in-law, Mary Bosold.

May peace be with all of you. Margaret was such a friendly person and seemed to care about so many. Even though I only knew Margaret through Dick I felt like she was a good friend every time I got to be with the two of them. She is at peace now and out of pain. My prayers are with you all. Peace be with you.

As one of Margaret's "kids" from the daycare years, many of my earliest and fondest memories are of Margaret and the house in Mt. Prospect. I am so sad to hear of her passing, but she touched many hearts and we'll carry on her memory. Our Prayers are with your family.
