Marilyn Jean Jahnke, 76, of Huntley, died peacefully in her home on Saturday, January 28, 2023, with her family by her side.
Marilyn was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania on December 1, 1946, to parents Howard and Janet (nee Schade) Ramaley. She married Allen Jahnke on February 19, 1971, and together they raised their three sons. Marilyn was very crafty, and spent many hours crocheting, sewing, and making Christmas ornaments. She enjoyed sudoku and jigsaw puzzles, and she was an avid reader. She was a wonderful baker and come Christmas her home was filled with dozens and dozens of Christmas cookies. She had a sly and quiet sense of humor and loved to make her boys and their friends smile. She was a wonderful woman who will be missed by all who knew her.
Marilyn is survived by her beloved husband of nearly 52 years, Allen Jahnke, her sons, Eric Jahnke, Jason (Colleen Pagor) Jahnke, and Brian Jahnke, her grandchildren. Trevor Pagor and Jessica Pagor, and her siblings, Kenn (Debbi) Ramaley, and Jeffrey (Jenny) Ramaley.

My sister and I have many fond memories of our Aunt Marilyn visiting Pittsburgh while we were growing up. We always looked forward to seeing her, along with our uncle and cousins. She was a wonderful person and will be missed very much.
So sorry for your loss. Marilyn was a bright spot of dry humor in the Rose School library and I have many memories of her keen wit. I know she will be missed by many.
My deepest sympathies to Marilyn's family and friends. She sounds like a wonderful woman that was loved and will be greatly missed.
So sorry for your loss. I worked with Marilyn at both Woodland and Rose. She was great with kids and helped to keep the library running smoothly. Always with a smile on her face, she was a wonderful woman.
Sincere condolences to Al and your family. I taught across the hall from the library entrance at both Woodland and Rose Schools. During my break I would often stop in and chat with Marilyn. I have fond memories of the many years we worked together.
My heart breaks for Al and the guys. She will be missed.
Marilyn was a colleague and I remember her as a quiet lady. She will be remembered with fondness.
Sorry for your loss. My family will be thinking of your family in this difficult time.
Sincere condolences to Marilyn's family. My first grade room was across from the library at Woodland and we would chat often. She is so great with the kids and a wonderful person. She will be missed.
Words cannot express what you are going through. I am so sorry for your loss.
