James W. Russow

Obituary

James W. Russow, 58, of Lake in the Hills, passed away, after complications from heart surgery, March 24, 2023.
James was born January 3, 1965, the son of William and Judith Russow. In May of 1990, he married Patricia Vitone, his high-school sweetheart. They shared more than half their life together. He worked as a pressman for many years. He enjoyed fishing, boating, golfing, gardening and his greatest joy of all things, was his family. Most of all his favorite job was being a girl Dad. Always devoted to his daughters, and sharing his joy for life with them. Jim was the type of guy who could walk into any room and everyone could feel his light radiate. His heart was one of the biggest, he was always ready to lend a helping hand. He was larger than life and always rooting for everyone, which is why he was always the first one you could find in the crowd of any sports game. Always ready with random stats, on any player, for any sport! Jim is not only survived by the legacy he leaves in every room he sets foot in,but by his wife, and two daughters. His spark and joy will never be forgotten, and will always be found in the places we need it most.

He is survived by his wife, Patti, his daughters, Alyssa and Lauren Russow, by his mother, Judith Boldt, his brother, David (Yvonne) Russow and step sister, Cheryl Kurima (Will) also by his nieces and nephews, Jordan, Christina, Marissa, Breanna, Carly, Sophie, Rachel, Grant, Parker, Brandon, Phi, Blake and Preston. He is survived by his step-mom Joan Russow, his mother-in-law, Anna Vitone, his sister-in-laws, Angela (Joe) Lo Presti, Lisa (Brian) Helbig and Joanne (Tim) Schuring. He was preceded in death by his father, William, step-dad Brent Boldt, father-in-law, Jack Vitone and nephew, Nathan Russow.
