Chancey Jennie Pemberton, 101, of Crystal Lake, died peacefully, March 25, 2023 with her family by her side.
Chancey was born February 17, 1922 in Chicago, the daughter of Angelo and Margaret DeBenedetto. On September 11, 1948, she married William Pemberton. Chancey was a faithful Christian woman who truly loved the Lord. She loved family gatherings and cooking for others. Chancey was a member of Grace Evangelical Free Church. She was an avid reader, especially the Bible, and she enjoyed jigsaw and cross word puzzles. She also enjoyed board games and playing Uno with her grandkids. She was an avid Cub’s fan. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren. Chancey was a loving mother, grandmother and friend who will be missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her children, Tom (Elaine) Pemberton, Anita (Michael) Tarlach and by her two grandchildren, Rachel and Christopher. She was preceded in death by her husband, William and siblings, Ann and Dominic.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 6, 2023, from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at DeFiore Funeral Home, 10763 Dundee Road, Huntley.
Interment to follow visitation at Fairview Memorial Park, 900 N Wolf Rd, Northlake.
